pretty common....

you mean the rt cat...do you have a y pipe?? the mil code is typically 702 which indicates a problem w/ the o2 sensor in the cat....something about the cat moves the 02 sensor closer than the stock cat to exhaust gasses are hotter, etc....it's no biggie, just a pita, reset it....shingles has it also, a few others here...

nuthin to worry about

I have a 99 CA-spec Maxima with Y-Pipe, RT cat and Courtesy B-Pipe. I have no problems with the MIL light, but then again if I understand the reports here right - I wouldn't be affected since my 99 does not have any O2 sensors after the cat.

Yup code is abour rear O2...

The thing is, it only seems to happen for me when it's hot.

the only way i've noticed to stop the mil

light from coming on is to put in the 95 jwt ecu.

it doesn't recognize that 02 sensor there and thus doesn't see the problem

I didn't notice any difference with the RT cat. Your Max may benefit cause it's a heavy breather with Nitrous and all.
