One more turbo Max....and its a 3rd gen...

EDIT:

JUST AN UPDATE THE PICS HAVE BEEN UPLOADED ONTO A NEW SERVER!!!! see them here-->

http://autos.werd.com/boosted/TURBO_92_GXE/

as you can see its nothing but the TRUTH...its in the final stages though...some of the remaining things left to do is heat coat the charge pipes and "pretty" them up a little! The remaining IC piping and downpipe should be done by Friday or Saturday...so chances are I might have some more pics for you guys next week and maybe even some vids. The car goes in for body work as well soon, Skyline tails and custom Skyline front bumper with big mouth opening for the FMIC! I'll post the complete specs of the setup later, but for now enjoy these pics, I would have taken more, but it got dark and I forgot the memory card for my camera. ENJOY!

JWT told him it should put out around 280-290 to the wheels at moderate boost.

In a way this thread sort of shows how the 3rd gen still does not get respect like the 4th and 5th gen. If it were a post of a turbo'd 4th or 5th gen (mostly 4th) there would be like 30 pages by now, but there is only two.

If you say so. I wanted a 3rd gen way more than a 4th gen, but I couldn't find one with low enough miles. I just don't like the ricizzle look of it, and turbo isn't my favorite thing.

geez, you would think that the 3rd gen that will change how people look at third gens would get more than two pages. I can't wait for the pics of the finished engine before he goes into the bodyshop!

Got the quote for the JWT ECU........ouch

uh oh....3rd gen turbo...

hehe, i love 3rd gens more than my 4th gen. They look classier and more refined. Damn the 4th gen j/k Keep up the good work on those 3rd gen turbos. Maybe someday like Maxxus 2008 or something, there can be an all-out turbo competition for all the gens (maybe including 1st and 2nd gens...hey, anything's possible)

the reason why there is more intrest in 4th and 5th gens its because there are more owners of those years.

if the internet and the import scene was popular back in 89 to 94 3rd gens would own this site.

Yeah thats cause it is much easier to turbo a third gen than it is a fourth gen, tell me it isnt and thats crap anyway.

N34JZ, you know how some of the 4th gen guys are....I mean their cars only came 15 years after the Maxima was originally created!

and Bruce it easier to turbo the VG thanks to the interchangability of the VGT manifolds and crossover, on the other hand the VE 3rd gen cannot utilize these due to their oval exhaust ports, thus not so easy! in a short turboing the VE and VQ generally would be identical!
