Should I feel bad? eBay Story...

Should I feel bad that a fellow max owner paid $180 for a set of GLE honeycombs? They were in great shape, but I felt guilty for selling to a fellow max owner for that much. I tried to sell them here for $100 and could not. This guy came and picked them up and seemed pleased, but I just felt bad because he was a (non-.org member) fellow Maxima owner (3rd Gen). I knwo that they were not worth that much; I would have been happy to snag $100 for them on there.

Were the rims in REALLY EXCELLENT shape? If so, I dont think he got ripped off. Value is in the eye of the beholder. Thats what makes the money flow in this world. Don't feel bad. He should have done his homework before he bought the rims!! haha.

where else can you get a set of oem rims for $45 each. It's not a bad deal.

Yeah, Patrick... don't feel all that bad. Both of you got what you wanted in the end. And isn't THAT what matters in the end??

I would feel bad about it IF I had shipped them to him, or if I had not put a pic of the EXACT rims in the eBay ad. Like you guys said, we both got what we wanted...Well, actually, the WIFE did, some Gunmetal Motegi MR7s wearing the tires that came on on my maxima on the rims that I just sold...

The rims were in really good shape, no bends and no scratches, no missing clearcoat...and he inspected them prior to buying them.

I would recommend eBaying rims as opposed to selling them on here. I would have been happy w/ $100, but got way more. Plus I helped someone else out. He had a 3rd gen w/ a bent rim. Best price he could find locally to replace it was $100, so he was excited to get a whole set for $180. I guess we both DID win out here...

I dont think he got that bad of a deal. When I bent my 97 GLE wheel in an accident one rim was $150 brand new so if they're in excellent condition thats a decent price.(insurance was paying not me or I would have looked elsewhere).

My thoughts exactly. He didn't complain about the price (which is pretty good for stock rims) and you made a bigger profit at the same time. A win-win situation IMO.
