Is This The Right Rubber Grommet for Upper Intake Pipe...?

I took the grommet from stock airbox. Removed the metal ring inside the grommet and slipped it onto the air temp sensor (above pic). The small gap on the rubber grommet plugs into the hole in upper intake piping but it doesn't feel 'air-tight'. Can someone tell me if this is the right grommet? Tks.

I just looked at mine..your index finger..that grommet..seems to be to small..I have a 97 and it has a slightly larger lip that covers the hole with about 1/8 of an inch

Does that help?

I can take a pic if you need

I think the grommet u had on the sensor is for the anti-rattle seating that bolts on to the airbox and slips into a holder.

Looks really good! Have you seen Pear96Max's engine? He's got a similar blue theme going on too.

Can't tell from the pic did they repaint under the hood and doorjambs too?

Viper install went ok- an install is never easy on my car
Just before I left, I turned the car on using remote start and forgot for a second.. turned the key all the way (out of habit) and you know what happened

Stupid me, I heard I'm not the only one who's done it so I don't feel that bad.

Thats among one of the top worst sounds to hear from your car. Don't you hate it?

Did you get the Viper 300? Is there a pesky one second delay when you hit the unlock button on the remote?

I believe its the Viper 550, from Don's groupdeal. The 2 second delay to open the car is no biggie.
