Mine was right there...my suggestion would be to take a light and look down and see if you can see. They may vary. If not well

It should be "right there" unless you have a '99(?). Take a look here - http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=58850

yeah, it's a '99 SE .. it's not right there, i could fully stick the screw driver in and still didn't know what to do, cause i couldn't see it, i had the flashlight, but i see now that i need a phillips and a mirror, i will try it tomorrow..

thanks all for replies, they are extremely helpful, i thought i pushed the frieken screw into the module...thanks again..

I have a 99 with the same type ecu. On mine I needed a flashlight to see the very small phillips head screw which was off to the left side.
I used a small phillips head screw driver (the type one would use for eyeglasses) to obtain the ecu codes.

hey everyone, thanks for the HEADS UP, i'm just going to wait for my friend to test it, he's a honda mechanic (i know, ricers ), but he has something that clips in and gives the codes, so i'll do it monday, i'm off of work..

thanks again all..

i have to say, i've only been here for a very short while, but you are certainly the coolest and smartest bunch of people i've seen..

thanks for everything, and for keeping this site AWESOME..
