DYNO results: UDP from UR for VE

So here it is everyone, I was at the dyno shop this morning and we got some really good results. So these are corrected and this link has the comparasin, before and after plots. So I'm not going to report the final hp and tq because I need to speak with UR to agree on the actual or corrected gains. But hp is in the range of 8-10 and tq is in the range of 8-12, like I said that is not official. Also when you view the graph you need to disregard the spikes at the begining and ends, you can also see that the data for the pre-dyno went up to 6400 and the post dyno went up to 6000. I'm ****sed that they didnt want to do the 1000-4000 rpm range. I had this retarded conversation with the guy from UR, where he was like this data will give us a good idea of the gains for normal street driving. WTF who drives at redline for street to street driving, dont answer that hehe

Ok, I won't answer that. But that's some good info. Thanks.

does it feel like you're actually making at least 8hp? the power gain feels very subtle on my car. i have yet to see it provide gains on the track (my personal dyno), but i've only gotten to run it once. i did run a 14.3 on the first time out. the car does have an improved throttle response, but as far as seat of the pants feel, hard to tell.

Dont forget I have an auto, so the gains for a 5spd should be better. It would have been better for UR to have used a 5spd for the development b/c they could have gotten more accurate numbers.

UR is usually pretty expensive, I spoke to them about the posibility for a group deal. So I'm hopping for around $180 or possibly less, We'll see. Anyway they dont plan on getting them produced until december

This friday I think I'll be hitting Englishtown raceway to check my 1/4 mile time, So we can get a better idea of the udp performance. But before I go I'm replacing my transistor pack. I will have pretty much replaced/tuned up everything on the car by then (and when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING )

What was the comparison in gains between the UR and the ASP pullies that were already available?

no reply? I was just wondering if the UR pulley gave the same gain as the ASP

ASP is probably about the same..

Eric, those are some damn good numbers! You're making more power on your auto than I am on my 5 spd!

Thanks Matt, just the other day I replaced the transistor pack and I really think it improved my high rpm range. but that dyno was done before the transistor pack was replaced.

There is a nissan dealer that is offering %30 off this month, so I took advantage of that.

I was going to the track the other day, but got caught in some really bad traffic and decided to turn around . Anyway there is a pretty big meet in the NE and we'll be at the track, so I'll have some numbers then. By then though I'll have the Y-pipe in the car and I will have also replaced the oil pressure regualtor. So I'll be looking forward to that.

I found that UR wants to give the UDP rating in the form of a range, so they'll be cheating a little on how much it actually makes. Well from the data that I got from the dyno run, it makes around 10hp and 10tq at 4500rpm. But UR will say something like 10-15hp or something b/c they want to represent the theoretical gains due to the weight reduction of the pulley, which should not really be done in my opinion.

O yeah and I should add that my tire press during the run was on the high side (meaning I usually put 32psi in instead of 29, cold tire pressure) so that I could get slightly better mpg. But I know that from track time that I gain almost a full second when I lower my tire press. So that alone could have mad a big difference in those dyno runs.
