Dont think it can do all the way down, there is a limitation on the door itself on how much of the window it can hold.

I remember somebody actually took apart the door and checked. Apparently, due to the space/design, the back window cannot go down all the way.

Look at almost any four door car from the last 20 years or so.

There is a curve, or cutout, at the bottom rear of the door, where it goes around the rear wheel well.

The bottom edge of the rear window really must stay inside the door, so the window can't go any lower than that.

If the automaker wants a window that will go all the way down, the passenger compartment has to be longer so that the door doesn't have to go around the wheel well.

They could shorten the door, but that makes it more difficult to get in and out.

They could put in a fixed window in the rear of the door, and move the track farther forward, but that means that the window isn't as large (and the styling might look pretty ugly.)

I've seen some cars where the back windows goes down at a sharp angle instead of straight down...which circumvents the wheel well prob.....

You could try 1 of these:

Take off your sunroof wind deflector and when someone b|tches roll all the windows up open the sunroof and haul a$$
Or when someone b|tches tell them to STFU or get out and walk

BTW SkyDaver's answer is right on the money.

Not wanting to sound sarcastic, but what car? If it goes down at a sharp angle, what about the front edge of the window?

Cuz the wheel is far enough back that it doesn't interfere. It also allows for a roomier backseat.

You are screwed on the Max.

The 92-96 Lexus ES300, is one car that window go down in an angle they look as if the rear windows are broken when they are all the way down cause they tilt. I don't like that look at all
