I get a weird squeeking noise when starting off...

Sometimes when I start very slowly from a complete stop to 1st gear or even reverse, I get a weird noise, almost like the sound of worn brakes. I have no idea what it can be... Anyone else have this problem?
By the way, I have a 2k max.

First off lets ask the question of what mods you have on the car? What have you done? Lets work there and move forward.

Sometimes I think that sqeaking can be coming from the brakes and rotors, like where there is a bit of rust from when it sat there overnight.

I also hear a squeek or some sort of noise, when I reverse or go into first gear. This happens mostly when i first start my car.

The noise seems to be from the engine bay area. The noise goes away in a few seconds, right after I shift into 2nd.

check your FSTB first.. then if its still squeaking..

pop the hood.. have a friend rev the motor.. then look to see if the engine moves considerably .. have him/her do that a couple times.. if the engine moves a whole lot.. then have it checked out..

search in general for motor mounts.. there was a thread recently on it.. and a couple of us were giving the symtops of blown motor mounts.. that might not be your issue.. then again.. lots of 2k+ have been having early Motor Mount faliures.. but YES motor mounts are a serious issue.. and should be looked at.. or be aware of if this is the case
