Can you replace the Factory Bose speakers with an aftermarket brand using the same factory amplifiers?
If so what brand and model?


Or do I specificly have to get the exact factory speakers as replacements?

 

can't use any other speakers with the Bose amps, there was an article on that here a few weeks ago, the amps operate almost like a class D amp which pulls little amperage but puts out a lot of power, if you were to use an aftermarket speaker you'd probably end up blowing it using the bose amps as most speakers (except subs) are capable of handling a low ohm rating.

 

The speaker determines the ohm load, not the amp. Theoretically, if you wire a typical aftermarket speaker to a Bose amp, the amp will make about 1/4 the power that it did with the Bose speaker.

 

Also, the BOSE amps are part of the speaker cluster, so it's not really possible. They are mounted to one another.
