Decided to do some spirited drving today
I was surprised how little sound the engine made when I floored it. There was some noise from the engine alright but it wasn't too loud. Unlike my Stanza, that thing screams when you floor it. Back in high school, my teacher called me the Nascar racer because of the very loud noise the engine made.
Anyways back to the Max, my question is: does the engine ever go past redline or anything? I was too caught up in the moment when I floored it, I didn't have a chance to take a peek at the tach
I'm just worried that I might have went past redline. I have an automatic tranny by the way.

Put an intake on your car, and it won't sound so quiet anymore

I'm waiting for the warranty to run. Only a thousand miles left in the warranty!
Question: If installing an CAI is easy. Why does it take 2 hours? What is the hardest part of installing an intake?
Personally, I have the popcharger intake. I think it is just as good...the CAI is hard to install because a hole has to be drilled in order to put it in. The popcharger sounds the same, is much easier to install, is cheaper, and has been proven to produce close to, if not as much HP as the CAI. This is just my opinion, some like the CAI more.

Next time you go for a spirited drive
Leave the tranny in a lower gear and bunp the rev limiter a couple of times. Watch the little box do its thing to protect the engine from uneduacated drivers, j/k

Not too sure what the VG sounds like, but
I'm pretty sure "most" nissan sounds the same when cranking. It's kinda like a Ford when it's starting, I can always tell when one of those are cranking over. Now if you're talking about another sound when cranking, you got me on that one.
