motor swap---

anyone know about dropping a 2000 motor in a 97? any info would be cool..

Search There is no fesiable options for motor swaps on 4th generation (and most others) maximas. That, and the 4th gen has a:

VQ30DE

and the 5th gen? It has a:

VQ30DE

Notice the similarities . The only difference is that the 5th gen one has a variable intake manifold, which is available for 4th gens via the middle east maximas.

not all 5th gens have the VQ30DE. 2k and 2k1 *i think* do but i know 2k2+ have the VQ35DE (3.5L as opposed to 3.0). either way, it dont work.
