Y-pipe install questions

I have a couple of Y-pipe install questions to ask.
First off me and Thesoundsoldier were working on installing a Stillen Y-pipe on his car. Everything was going ok until we tried to unbolt the before cat converter 14 mm bolts. Needless to say those bolts were corroded to hell. First off the bolts are 13mm for some reason, the 14mm didnt work to well it kept stripping constantly; this might be due to the massive corrison im not to sure. Any way we used about a half can of WD-40 and some rust remover but to no avail, those buggers wont come off.

My first question is will Liquid Wrench do the job to loosen it or not in this case? Also what is the thing supposed to be? To me it looks like its a 14mm flare nut that is holding everything in not a bolt, Also I think the thread that is there is something that is welded to the cat and is held together with the Y-pipe flange, a gasket, and the 14mm flare nut is this a correct assumption? Also if the nut is too corroded is it ok just to get a bolt/nut breaker to break this thing off and replace it with a new flare nut? Also I want to replace the 6 Y-pipe bolts with new ones, there are 6 that need to be removed does anyone know the size and length of these bolts?

as of getting those bolts off try to get a bigger lever by putting a pole on the wrench handle and making a longer level, also you can try using a as 13 socket and tire gun those thing have serious power thats what works best for me

Tried a bigger lever didnt work, the lever arm was like over 20 inches and it still wasnt making enough torque to move those bolts. I used a 13 mm socket but im not sure what a tire gun is. Is it another name for an air gun/impact gun? I have one but I gotta get my air compressor working first.

Get a torch at the hardware store. Get those puppies red hot and they will twist off like butter. Works every time.

Heat is your friend when it comes to rust.

Well whatever works for me I'll tell you about it. Its the part where the Y-pipe hooks up to the Catalytic converter, its probally the most corroded part on the car. Its exposed to alot of road salt and its very hot when the engine is running so that is a nice recipie for rust and corrison. Nissan should of used a better quality steel for this part of the car, maybe they never thaught that the cat converter would need to be replaced so they used crappy parts to save some cash. I guess were gonna have to try the liquid wrench stuff first, if that fails I can always torch it, and if that doesnt work well I can break the flare nut off and replace it.

WD40, Liquid Wrench did not work. I even took a 300lb/ft air impact wrench to it.
The propane torch did the trick. Just heat the nuts up a bit with the torch and voila.

try using a 6 point socket (as opposed to a 12 point), and lots and lots of liquid wrench (let it soak overnight).

theres also another product thats supposedly better than liquid wrench, but i forgot the name
