100,000 Miles Long

My car has had a nearly 100,000 long life. I was wondering what maintenace things i should do to it. Ive had my car less than a year and I dont know what the previous owners(some chiks in kentucky) did maintenance wise. In the year ive had it ive 1.changed the power steering fluid. 2. changed the oil when scheduled 3. and put a new intake (p.r.c.a.i.) by the way is 100,000 ok for a 96? Im going to take some pics and post them when it rolls to 100,000 miles.
Any sugestions on what i should do to it? any good ideas are welcome. Im going to get new plugs but im still deciding between NGK's or Densos. (only cuz of the price)

on a regular car, this would mean its near its last stage in life but with a maxima, u have just fully broken in your car.

I have a 95 GLE with 112,000 miles and the car was running perfectly. I bought it from some caucasian guy who drove far to work. most females don't race and i would be happier getting a car from some idiot that only gets oil changes for maintenance than someone who turboed out the engine and raced 3 days a week

why's it always have to be about race and ethnicity, meccanoble??? i'm just kidding!! anyway, to answer the original post, i drove a max at work twice within a year and a half. this guy, the first time, had 250,000 miles on his max. ran great. just like mine, but dirty as hell inside. carpets were stained to hell. the second time i drove it, he had 283,000 miles on it. i asked the guy if he had to get a new tranny/engine, or anything? he said that except for tune-ups, clutch, brakes, tires, the normal stuff, no. he didn't need anything. so you have a while with your max

No, it's not OK, it means you need to go out and drive more.

I've got 70 on a 99, and that's just going to/from work and school. I did 30k in the first year that I had the car (driving around cruisin )

No - If it aint broke don't fix it. Just do the standard maintenance in the owners manual. Also use NGK PLATINUM PLUGS only! They're expensive but worth every penny.

I drove it to and from countless partys on every weekend since i bought the car. I mean from N. phx to Tempe, scottsdale, chandler, W. Phoenix, Mesa, Gilbert. During the weekdays i use to just go & chill at diff places w diff people, and cruising & toking.

I dont want to over do it any more. I just basically drive it to work now for the past 2 weeks. But i work faaar ummm like 50 mins on the freeway hauling a$$$$.

Yu must work in Avondale or goodyear or something.

I lived in Phoenix for a yar and a half before I decided to move back to Seattle.

Everything is SO far apart there. Besides that, there's nothing to do. Phoenix sucks. Tempe is at least bearable.

What, Partying at the Arrowhead Mall parking lot or drinking at TGIF's?

Come on now. Phoenix sucks.

And the chicks are fine, but once they turn 30 they look like dried rubber raisins from too much sun.

That's true. I did go to quite a few house parties while I was down there, but the fact that you have a city with a population of 4 million and noone has anything better to do than have a house party says something.

Besides, I turned 21 a long time ago - I can drink in public now.

also things to look at are brakes+rotors, look at all 4 cv boots, if there are cracks in them then there is a chance that they might be going, I would recomend getting new ones from www.raxles.com...

http://www.beachlers.com/Auto%20Service/3060INSP.htm

here's a list of 30k service checklist, but if it works for 30k it will also work for 100K, I'm 1.4k away from hitting 100,000 miles also, I'm going to go through the list in the next week or so

good luck
