Free Nissan 100-point Inspection?...
Free Nissan 100-point Inspection?...
Just got a brochure in the mail from my dealer, but I'm pretty sure it is issued by Nissan NA. Do you think it's worth going to or will they waste my time and create problems? Obviously cost is not a factor but time is. 100-point inspection is pretty thorough too. Anyone else get this? The brochure has a pic of a Silver 2002 Maxima GLE on the cover.

Got that in the mail yesterday as well.
Thats a great way to get business. They get your car in the shop and sell brakes, tune-ups, belts, coolant and other fluid changes.
There shouldn't be anybody on this forum who would need to bring their car to Nissan to "INSPECT" anything.

A few years ago, I went to the free 'car care clinic' that the local Nissan dealer sent me a coupon for. Because the car was under warranty, I ended up with a free exhaust, engine oil seals, idler pulley, brakes and some other stuff. It would be a good time to read up on the TSPs/recalls(alldata/nhtsa) and make complaints concerning any problems. If the car is under warranty, you will get some free fixes. If not, don't go unless you really want to know what might be wrong!
My local dealer didn't try to sucker me for any additional work, but they made sure I walked through the new car lot and even hinted on the trade in value of my car.
Its funny that bags533 metioned "how many mods do you have to remove to get through the 100 point inspection?".
Be careful, maybe Nissan is looking for an excuse to void warranty repair orders by noticing anyone with a modded car and saving it in their records.
