Used a clay bar today! Amazing!
I used a clay bar today after washing my car (I bought the mother's brand clay bar) and then I used the instant shine spray stuff that came with it. I have one word: wow. The paint is SO smooth and shiny. It was getting just a little dull and it was not smooth, but now it feels slippery and it's all glossy and I'm proud of it.
Afterwards I used the cleaner wax, and it added the finishing touch. For everything it took me a little more than two hours, because there were some swirls in the old wax job because someone didn't know what they were doing, so it took a lot of 'elbow grease,' but the time was well worth it. I won't have to use the clay bar for a few months now.
If you've never used a clay bar on your car, do it. You'll be happy you did.

I only use the clay bar to remove dried bugs and other such substances from the hood and frontal areas of the car. Also, I do not have mudguards, and find the claybar useful to remove most of the material collected on the lower door panels adjacent to the wheel. I find no use to clay bar the entire vehicle.
