Massive Shia talking by 2002 owner on 4th Gen's

This guy's mommy and daddy bought him a 2k2 automagic and he's been talking massive shia. I won't give the link (non-Nissan forum), but rather just post up some of the quotes...

BTW, go tell all of the "tired ***" 4th Gen Max owners at Maxima.org that are running MUCH faster than you ever will be that they should trade up to a "real" car (as you put it) and see what they say

I was playing with a 2k2 Max auto on the highway awhile ago and the focker couldn't keep up. I guess he couldn't keep his gheymatic in the right gear!

You must've been "playing" by yourself because there's no way your ****in car will outrun a 2k2 in a real race. Post your 1/4 mile time or just shut the **** up.

Do all street races start from a dead stop and end in exactly a 1/4 mile? Not the last time I checked. Did I not say I was on the highway? You are clueless, dude

2k2 auto: 90-92 mph trap
95-99 5spd: 90-92 mph trap

So why doesn't your mighty king **** 2k2 max trap out any higher than my "slowest of all VQ's, tired ***" 99 Minima?

Hmmmm??
Who the hell is SeXiMa2K2SE?

This was the punk that was originally ripping off the *real* sexima's sig for awhile.

Well that guy is retarted....

Lately ive heard about alot fo reviews saying the 5th gen maximas arent really considered "sport sedans" anymore...

4th gen Maximas are the sport sedans, 5th gen look tooo much like family cars...

I have the money for a 5th gen, but I hate the looks on the 5th gens...

Anyone agree?

C&D had similar comments. However, they also dissed the 4th gen for similar reasons... Mainly, the compromising of the rear suspension from independent to multilink beam.

Well, he's obviously aware of this site as he used the term Minima makes him a FOB - Follower of Bill

He also must not realize pretty much all 5th gens are Minimas as well.....

And we all know 3rd gens rule anyway.

I guess that just leaves the 3rd gen to rule all

I think this is just a case of daddy's boy believing that because a car is newer, it is faster.

That is precisely why, although I love my 4th gen, my next car will not be a Maxima. Maybe when I am a little older and have a family, I will go back.

the only thing i like about the 5th gens, is the fully loaded interiors. anything else is just fugly. my distant future brother-in-law drives a 5spd 2000 max. it's fully loaded, and i have to say that the interior is sweet, but the exterior is not that appealing to me. we raced, and i beat him with both of us being stock. now, i am modding, and i don't think he has a chance

5th gens are cool cars, but its not cool to talk **** about previous generations. That kid should have his maxima taken away, he doesn't deserve it. He fits better in a DX civic with altezza lights and running straight pipe.

I know i'm gonna get flamed for these comments, but oh well:

Other than the tinted tail lights on the SE models, the 5th gen tail lights look like garbage. And why in the world would you even try to clown a 4th gen, when the rear of a 5th gen puts all of the emphasis on the license plate!?!?!? In my opinoin that's kind of whack. And as in terms of power, they have us, but they weigh a ton and on the highway with just my intake and y pipe i make them respect this 4th gen max. I paid a little over a 1/3 of what they paid for their car. Add the price of a MEVI and a catback and that's just a no brainer. Unless you have stock in Nissan, why pay more for basically the same type of performance. If you're gonna spend the money, keep it real and get a real performance sedan if your worried about real racing, rather than getting a 5th gen that is twice as much as our very capable 4th gen max. I still have love for the 5th generation max, but like others have said, i decided to keep a little more money in my pocket rather than get a '02 and just do some mods. Just my .02!!!

I was wondering when we were gonna get to that!

I have both a 3rd and 4th gen, love them both, but the 3rd genners typically bask the 4th genner, and the 5th genners are now bashing the 4th genners, and I haven;t really seen the 4th genners bashing the others too bad...

Hmmm... I believe in a post a few days ago, I commented on how nice the 4th gen board is compared to the others. Looks like I'm getting some support in my hypothesis.

i don't bash any generation maxima, because it's a nissan. you aren't driving a honda, or a kia, so you're all cool in my book.

That's what I say too! My wife and I stop to check out EVERY Maxima we pass. The other day we went to the mall. There was a 3rd gen parked two spaces from a 5th gen, so we pulled our 4th gen right in between them. Like a little family reunion or something. We all drive Maximas because there is no car like it. We drive different gens because that's what was there when we started.

All good...

I own a 97 and a an 02. I have things I like and dislike about each, but the bottom line is that they are both very fine cars. The way I see it, all of us Maxima owners need to stick together since there aren't many of us out there compared to Accords and Camrys.

I like any nice well kept Maxima regardless of which generation it is.

I'd even drive one of those 2nd gen wagons if I could find one in good shape. They still look llke maximas, but with LOTS of trunk space.

Seriously though... my wife is pregnant, due Friday. A wagon would be nice cause you know how much crap kids need??? I had no idea until this last month or two, and the trunk on our 98 is stuffed. I got my regular stuff (leather conditioner, paper towels, oil, antifreeze, trans fluid, and windex), plus the stroller, diaper bag, extra clothes, the car seat (half the back seat), and other misc stuff. One of those wagons doens't look to bad right about now, and that would save my nice black leather from the ravages of ground up cheerios and fruit snacks.

Maxima Museum of History

One day...

I will retire my 3rd gen maxima, then my 4th, (2nd and 1st too if I ever find them) and build a museum in which they will be immortalized. After spending 8 years with my 3rd gen, it's like a brother to me. The 4th gen is faster, bigger, and a little more comfortable, but my 91 has been my friend for, it seems, my entire adulthood. People know me as Seth... the-guy-with-the-white-maxima. I know it may seem nuts, but I get very attached to my maximas, and have not had that sort of owner-car bond with any of my chevys, dodges, or fords that I drove in the past.

Some day... the Maxima Museum will be, and all gens will share the floor.
