HIGHLY Recommended CLutch Flywheel setup...

I finally got my ACT HDR6 clutch kit and AASCO flywheel installed last week that I have had since April and I love it! I highly recommend this setup for those of us that want a little more SPORTS CAR in our 4DSC. This is not for the faint hearted, and not recommended for anyone that doublclutches all the time but the acceleration difference is outstanding and I can keep up nearly with my friend's 300ZX TT 5speed with centerforce dual friction clutch anf Fidanza flywheel at stock boost through 1st and 2nd gear. HIGH LY recommend this if you can afford it and already have great breaks cause this setup will slam you back in your seat.

Will let everyone know more when I have had it longer!

Also switched to the NEW VTC solenoids and they make a difference from the olds ones, just waiting to get the car back from getting new Lifters and VTC engine internals and then she'll be screamin finally, next up comes the body kit and custom paint job, and then custom turbo install utilizing a Garrett T-300-2 Turbo, 18x8x3 in core intercooler, and still yet to buy at least 370cc injectors from a Z32TT.

Email me for any info you might need on getting parts, or help with any VE30DE mods, VG30E mods, or VQ mods if in the midwest and I will be glad to help.

You replaced the solenoids eh? Not the sprockets themselves? Were they indicating that they failed? How much did they run ya?

I recently replaced the solenoids, $100 each from Courtesy. They seemed to fix the ticking for a week, but now its back with a vengence. Why oh why did I choose to forego the Nissan oil filter for a Bosch....damn myself!!!

yep it is a ACT 6puck sold hub clutch disc, ACT Heavy Duty Proessure Plate, and AASCO 11 lbs flywheel with Amsoil gear oil, and Amsoil 20w-50 Motorcycle racing oil.

Makes a huge difference! Then now I am getting a valve adjustment, maybe replacing the lifters as well, and not sure what else I will be doing right now.

6 puck clutch kit is so kick A$$

you can adjust the valves. my friend's datsun 280z needs the valves adjusted really bad (from what the mechanic said)

You can't adjust the valves on a VE. That's what the hydraulic lifters are for... to take out any slack in the valve/cam contacts. Some engines have manually adjustable valves with no lifters and you do have to adjust them every 20,000 miles or so.

That is eactly what they are doing, except they are cleaning the engine internals at least on the top end as much as possible without tearing the engine apart, meaning cleaning old oil deposits off the camshafts, etc.

the 6 puck clutch kit engages really fast and tight, and will slam your head back if you are not careful... to me it is the perfect setup as I like a fsat engaging clutch that pulls like no other, and will practically give you whiplash. I cannot count the time now that I have peeled out taking off accidentily because of the difference.

Just an update to those who care, the clutch is still perfect after several months and I still highly recommend it!

Up next comes the Energy Suspension Bushing front, rear, and shifter bushing kits, and if for some crazy reason they don't sell them anymore then I will work with them or Htper-FLex on getting some made!

Any questions or comment contact me!

ummm#1... several months? You only made the first post a month ago.

#2. Energy doesn't make suspension bushings for our cars. Never did. At least nothing as a complete kit. I'm sure the rears are somewhere, as they're not a funky design like the fronts.

#3. the only engine mounts made for 3rd gens were for VGs.

Honestly dude, don't waste your energy getting ****ed..nice thing about electronic messaging on boards like this is that people can become the smart guy they wish they were in real life, face to face. Too bad some people feel the need to front. Oh well.

Just to prove my point, you posted the initial thread on the 8th of October and said you got the clutch put in "last week". that would be around Oct 1. today is only Nov 9, so it's only been 5 weeks according to that math. Just thought I'd rub it in a bit more.
Anyway, I finally replied to your email. you should be getting a present soon.
