I have the aforementioned model and I'm wondering what I *should* be getting on a tank of premium unleaded. Currently I'm averaging around 550-600 kms (350-375 miles) per tank, but a coworker with a 96 GXE claims he's getting around 700 km (440 miles) while driving on snow tires(!!)in the summer. Any thoughts??

 

It all depends on when you both fill up...get a current Miles per Gallon then compare...if your light on the throttle and do some highway driving you should get about 27-29, if you in the city with some mods more like 22-24mpg...

i wanna live to see the day my car hits 300 miles per tank....i need to stop nailing it twice a minute

but its a lot better...before replacing my knock sensor and spark plugs, it was a whole lot worse....i have about 215 miles with a quarter tank left, before i would have around 150 with even less left

 

I get from the high 200's to very low 300's mostly city driving.

 

Thanks for the posts, I guess I'm not doing too badly on mileage (20mpg average) and I've come to the conclusion that my buddy is lying. I'm going to go accuse him of being a Yugo racer.

I consistently get 28-29 mpg. I just filled it yesterday and had 420 miles on the tank. I live in Central PA, so I am usually going up one mountain or another anytime I drive.
