Silverstars

Has anyone put the Sylvania Silverstars on their Max. Are they worth the $25 per?

yep, they are good. run at stock wattage so no need to upgrade harness and they are pure white, no hint of blue at all.

Based on searching, I thought I read some people say that the light is good, but not worth double the price of the Cool Blues (which aren't really blue).

I am happy with these head lights. Big difference over stock. Much better visibility over stock.

I am happy with these. When I am ready to spend some cash I will do the HID conversion.

Blue Visions

Phillips Blue Visions are all you need; under $25 for the pair @ your local K-Mart.

Blue visions are neither white nor blue. They are more like a brighter version of stock.

I was actually bored and wanted to spend some money and got these cheap xenon bulbs from Target and they have a tint of blue and they are actually so much easier on my eyes to see. They are brighter not by much but they work 14 something for both. Now i have my PIAA's back they are great bulbs. Brian

I guess it depends on how you want to spend your money. I have about 10,000 miles on my Silverstars and have had no trouble. They give better illumination than the stock bulbs.
They are worth the money to me

Can someone one and for all tell me the best pair of 9004 bulbs to get for the max that produce white color, keep the stock wattage but give higher output and allow you to see in the rain and night?
So far out are PIAA and Eurolite. PIAAs I heard only look nice and Erolite give off a purple color.

im also looking for some aftermarket bulbs, not expensive like piaa.

but as for the blue visions, and cool blues or anything economical like that...i'd like to know which one is bright and gives blue light compared to stock, while keeping the same wattage...

and the eurolites give purple light?

Thanks,

Dev

I really liked the silverstars, but I switched to Eurolite Super Plasma. Excellent reflecability in the light, both lit up everything nicely and seemed to make my light pattern on the road more even.
