WSP y-pipe + hi flo cat makes a big diff...
Hey all,
I haven't posted much since getting my 91 SE earlier this year, but I just wanted to let everyone who doesn't have a y-pipe yet, know about mine that I installed today. I got the 2.5" alluminized, mandrel bent one from warpspeed, and a catco hi-flow cat from summit racing ($60.) The only hiccup is that I had to weld flanges on the cat, and neck it down to fit the stock b-pipe
I'll address the stock b-pipe and muffler later on. There is a nice deep sound to the exhaust that was not there before, sounds great when you let off the throttle. It does feel like the engine breathes a little better, although I think it wlll feel even better after I get the whole thing breathing better from front to back. I'll need a couple of days to get a better seat-of-the-pants dyno guestimate, as I have to get my wife to let me drive MY car for once. This is far from new info, but if you haven't gotten one and you're thinking about it, I think it's the way to go.
Later,
Tony
