OK, so I've got the remote start working. No problems.

I'm now working on keyless entry part. This 89' GXE is VERY different than the 93' GXE I had. I did that one NO problem. I cannot seem to find the wires. I know they exist, and in the door they are gray/red and light blue. I _cannot_ find them anywhere. Do they change colors somewhere?

I also managed to get my hand up into the body cavity at teh drivers kick panel, but I cannot seem to get the wire bundles to move to where I can even see them.

Is there anywhere else I can pick up the door lock wires?



I havent even thought about the trunk release....

 

since that car doesn't have a door lock timer, you cant get them there
for a couple early SE's, I've had to get the wires from the hole behind the fuse box going towards the door (I think that's the one you're talking about) and they are grey/red and light blue

since you have a GXE though, you should be able to find all the stuff you need (lock/unlock/trunk) at the stock keypad entry box which is just to the right of the glovebox under the dash. I know Brandon90GXE installed his a long time ago and used the wires there
