Tire pressure & tire weight??

I just had 2 new Kuhmo Ecsta 711 tires put on front of my car and I have never been able to figure out what psi to set the tires at. I have also set them all at 30 psi because that is what it says in the inner console of my 3rd gen. When ever I get my car aligned they always set them higher (35) and today they filled the new ones to 35. So to sum things up I have my new Kuhmos in the front set to 35psi and my old Pirelli's in the rear at 40psi.

What is the proper psi for 225/45/17's for both the front and rear??

Also, I noticed that my car is a little more sluggish with these new Kuhmos. Do certain tires weight more than other?

Thanks

sounds like they are the same size as the stock 17's, if u look under the center console, it tells you to inflate to 32 lbs. but some tires have their own recommendations. take a look on the tire.

Always use the car manufactures recomended tire pressure, not whats on the tires sidewall. If sticker on your console says 30, use that as a base. If you feel there to soft, you can adjust 2 - 3 lbs. I wouldn't go any more then 5 lbs over what your car tells you to run. More air pressure will actually decrease your tires foot print. Your car may "feel" tighter, but the tire will actually lose it's grip quicker.

Always check your tire pressure cold, first thing in the morning is best.

There's a thread on here someplace that really gets into tire pressure. Try searching a bit and see if you can come up with it. There was some really good info in there.
