95 max, ground wire HELP (really urgent!!)

95 max, ground wire HELP (really urgent!!)

i know this goes in audio
but more ppl come here
im installin a deck im my 95 maxima gxe non bose
AIWA cdc x927M and i cant find a ground wire
i tried grounding it to metal and i blew fuses
and i got it not to blow the fuse
but i still cant power my unit on
what am i doin wrong

If you are attaching the deck's ground(black wire) to the metal chassis, you should have a good ground. Are you using a harness to adapt the decks wire to the factory harness? Those are like $10-15 and work great!

yes i did attach to chassis and still didnt work
i was usin a harness
but the ground wires didnt connect so i tried it just from deck
and it still doesn work

It doesn't sound like the ground is your problem. There is no better ground than the chassis itself. If you are blowing fused, then there is a short somewhere. I would look for a uninsulated wire that may be hitting the chassis behind the deck. If you don't find anything, then I would say check for continunity(with a volt/ohm meter) between the ground and each wire you made a connection to.
