Decision making time

Hello everyone!! Woohoo, this is my first post. Been lurking around for a while, finally registered, yada yada....

Anyway, I need your guy's opinion on my next purchase. Currently I have a 2000 Subaru Legacy GT, and recently had a chance to drive a 6spd Maxima and loved it. Talked to the dealer over the phone, and I can get (and have been pre-approved) a 2k3 Maxima SE with the Titanium, Leather and Meridian packages, along with some other stuff (trunk mat, splash guards, etc..) for around $27 after the rebate with the "special" financing.

Do you all think this is a good deal?? I read the threads regarding the used 2k1 from a few days ago.

Anyway, any input is greatly appreciated.

Ben

HHMM. I've heard others say they got a 2k3 for less than that, but it may depend on where you are.

You may also want to look into getting a used 2K2. They are starting to appear around lots, and you can probably get a pretty good deal. YOu may not be able to get all the goodies (6 spd, leather, YOU DO NOT want the BOSE= It sucks) right away. I found a 2K2 w/ about 16,000 miles and got it for about 19500. It's an automatic with no leather or bose. But I think it's a sweet car either way, you still get the VQ.

SO, i would say look around a bit and try to haggle the dealer a bit, or wait around and find a used one with the options you absolutely have to have.

Also the 2004's will be coming out next year, so any 2k3's that are left next year when the new generation arrives will be a lot easier to find, and probably be cheaper.

Good luck either way,

Jeff

Thats a pretty good deal if you dont feel like waiting around. Zoggfatha's right...seems 95 percent of people with the Bose say it sux...channels dropping out, rattles on the sub etc. I'd steer clear of that.
