Possible totaled maxima!
Possible totaled maxima!
Ok, so my little brother has had some recent problems with his car in the past few weeks. He has been having a tough year all around, so i said that i would let him use my maxima for a short while. anyway, he calls me today and says that he got into an accident. he collided with someone in the school parking lot and the front end is pretty banged up. So now the insurance company is coming tomorrow to see how bad the damage is. i have a feeling that it might be close to totaled. I love that car!!! I am not sure what i am going to do if it is a total loss. anyway, i will find out tomorrow but there might be another that has bitten the dust. I will find out for sure tomorrow.
I guess the other car was driving in one of those kind of "parking lot lanes" and was going a decent speed. My bro turned out in front of him and he ran into the front driver side of the max. I hope its not totalled either, the car runs awesome and it only has like 108,000 miles on it---nothing for a maxima.

yea, i think it is going to turn out to be my brother's fault from the sounds of it. it kind of sucks also because it is going to go onto my insurance. but hopefully there will be some sort of insurance negotiations or something.

why your insurance, if he's the driver he should also have insurance that he can claim it under.
Granted, since he's younger the increase in premiums for him will probably be higher, but he's already going to get dinged for being in an accident, a little bit more for also making a claim isn't going to to add much more. may be better then having botho fo you dinged for his mistake.

if it's a high school, chances are it wasnt at low speeds, hence the severe damage.

Exactly, i think that the other high schooler was probably clipping along pretty good but because my bro is the one who pulled out, he is going to get the fault.

Yea, i know it would probably be better for both of us but apparently in the state of Wisconsin the insurance company covers the vehicle, not the driver. which is why it is going to come back to me. i should find out for sure later today sometime though.
