Autometer fuel pressure gauge 5763: jumpy?

I called the local speed shop to see if they had the full sweep, 100 psi, electric fuel pressure gauge that Autometer sells (5763). He warned me that several local guys have returned them with the complaint that they were real "jumpy" and subsequently hard to read. He tried to interest me in a Greddy gauge. I already have several Autometer gauges and wanted to keep a uniform look, so I declined.

But, have any of you guys experienced "jumpy" behavior of this gauge, or was he feeding me a line?

I have the Autometer FP gauge and I haven't had any problems with it...slowly give it throttle..and the needle will rise smoothly. I haven't experienced any "jumpiness".
