So far I'm very disappointed, my first run was a 17.660 at 84.40. Yes thats right I ran a 17.6 with a 3.128 60ft, some mustang dropped a driveshaft, so the techs had to prep the track. When I launched it just spun, I tried to feather the gas but that didn't help so I hit 2nd gear massive spin and hop. It was the only time I could chirp 3rd gear too. My next 2 runs were 16.578 and 16.651 with 2.7 60fts. The next 3 runs I let the car cool some and netted 2 16.0x at 85-86mph. On my final run I got a 15.939 at 86.52 with a 2.412 60ft. Needless to say I was expecting more, but since I had so much wheelhop (broken mount ) there was no way I was going to hook. I had to reinflate my tires back to 32psi because at 22psi it would just bog after the wheel hop. I tried clutch slips/dumps around 4000-5500, it still bogged after the wheelhop. On a side note there were a couple camry guys out there too. ONe was a solara 5spd with TRD SC running mid 14's, I didn't see an exhaust so I figure the only mod was the SC. The other camry was a 95 V6 auto that was bone stock, he was running 15.9-16.1 at 86-87mph. Bnut was there in his V6 accord with intake and pulleys. He ran 15.4-15.7 with traps around 87-89mph. There was a celica GT-S that was running 14.7's with intake and exhaust . So I weighted the se-r, without me its 2590lbs . This car is supposed to be around 2500lbs, so given my 123fwhp and 2740lb weight with me no wonder I ran so crappy. Once I fix my broken mount(s), I know I can knock off 1-3 tenths.

Hey thats cool...

That sounds like what I did on 5 out of 7 runs my first day at the track.

I would launch just a bit too high and spin like a **** and get a 3.0-3.5 60' it was funny cause I have a bunch of timeslips with runs as bad as 16.979@89.2mph with a 3.36 60'

better 60' will come with practice I hope!!!

That car supose to weigh 2414lb. Weird...must be because of the sunroof. Anyways, I doubt you got a broken engine mount. That ENGINE did not move on the dyno. Also those mounts are URETHANE, they don't break! I think you have another problem and you really need to look into it. If you race and have wheel hop in that car you will crack the tranny.

Damn, those 60 foots are as bad as mine. You know as well as I that it's all in the launch. I have yet to come close to hitting a 2.2 60 foot.

Your trap speeds look a bit low for a SE-R. How many miles do you have and what are your mods? I was always under the impression the old box SE-R is pretty much a 14 second car with slicks and a intake and exhaust.

They are a 14sec car with that. But Ari needs practice with a 5spd! Hehe, he has 152k of miles on her....and RE71s as the rubber.
