Just got my New Autometer Full Sweep Gauge for free

thanks for letting us know all the information from the recall Louie and to Ejj for the information of the recall..

i called Autometer up.. got some information, gave some information.. sent my "half sweep gauge" w/o the sender to Autometer via UPS .. and within a week or two i got back a brand new "Full Sweep gauge" w/ full sweep sender.. all i paid was shipping to them.. sweet deal

i urge all you guys who are running half sweep autometer gauges to send them back.. #1 its dangerous ... #2 you get a full upgrade for only shipping charges..

The Half retails fro about $99 and the Full Retails for about $179.95

they both measure pressure from 0 - 100 PSI however the half sweep is in increments of 25 PSI while the Full Sweep is in increments of 10 PSI so its more accurate

the half sweep also only shows about half of the circumfrence of the gauge.. while the full sweep shows 3/4 of the circumfrence..

Full Sweep is on the Right and listed as 5763

Autometer rightfully got rid of the 5709 aka Half sweep gauge off their site and off there seller's sites.. so i can't show you that pic

yes.. but only the half sweep fuel pressure gauge.. its a problem with the sender, its prone to leaking

i will do even better.. here is the link to the recall from autometer

http://www.autometer.com/hp/safety_r...ll_notice.html

FYI: when you call autometer.. they only want the gauge.. they won't even take the sender

It wasn't free because you sent in your "half sweep gauge".

Same here. I just got mine back yesterday. Brand new Full Sweep FP guage, and a brand new EGT guage. I had problems with mine, which where do to the control box, so I sent it in. They sent me a brand new one, which no longer uses the control box for free.

I am very pleased with AutoMeter's service.

Well, there has to be something wrong with it....nothing a good glass of water couldn't fix though!

However, other than the lack of the control box, it is no different. Just a LOT easier to install.

Just called Autometer. The person I talked to said to send in the whole thing, sender and gauge. He also said they're sending out some half sweep some full sweep gauges as replacements.

that sucks.. they must have made a new half sweep and are giving those out now.. you should tell them you have been inconvienced and you demand a full sweep
