Help rough idle!!!!!!!!!!

Help.!!

I just installed an extrude honed intake manifold and I have a rough idle. It fluctuates over about 1-200 rpm on the tack and outside the car it sounds like an old V8. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it?

Thanks

Update. The engine does not smell of gas so I think the manifold is on fine. I breilfly ran my hand trhough the engine and I couldn't find any vacume leaks. Also the exhaust smells really rich.

Well have you tried raising the idle?
Also reset your ecu.

It sound slike you have a leak. Check the area of your EGR downtube, the gasket may be worn.
I had the same symptoms when I installed my Vi and it was a vacuum leak. You can also get a vacuum gauge and tes tthe vacuum of your manifold.

PM or email me if you have any other questions.

I found the leak and fixed it. The idle is back to normal now. But I have a new problem. When I shut of the car there is a loud wistle from th engine bay like something is letting off pressure.

Any ideas?

if you mess with the idle, wouldn't the ECU just fight it and adjust until the appropriate engine speed is found?

Thats the vaccume in your manifold depleting. Could just be from your throttle body butterfly (normal) or you still have a leak.
