e-brake dash light comes on. WHY??

e-brake dash light comes on. WHY??
It has been coming on more frequently and then going away. WHy is this happening and what can I do??? The e-brake is not engaged.

E-brake Light.....
This happened to me once...check your brake fluid levels man....I bet you that's what the problem is. Good luck! Lata!

sounds like brake fluid. Just fill it up. Doesn't hurt.
