Found Knock Sensors for $108 w/free shipping...link

I was shopping around for some parts and found knock sensors at ExpressAutoParts.com for $107.31, with free UPS ground shipping.

Pretty good price, thought I would pass it on.

hehe, I found a way to get a used one for practically as cheap as you want. this is what I did, there is a place near my house that charges money and takes the parts from the cars, I said I need a knock sensor, the guy's like, what sensor, I said, knock sensor for a nissan maxima, he says, well, how much do they go for new? I'm thinking, how low should I go, "80 bucks from the dealer" I said, "allright, I'll give you one for $40", hehe, me=1, parts place=0

I could've gone lower but I didn't want to be a ****, but 40 bucks for a used knock sensor so ain't bad after all, and if this one brakes, I still have the receit from the old one and say, well, you sold me the other one for 40, I want another one for the same price

don't tell me that you did search, YOU DIDN'T, go through couple of pages of search, it's all here.

basically, ANYTHING 99.9% of what you want to ask has already been talked about, you just have to find it. this search took me about 2 min

Are they a car wrack place? Or just a shop?

If they are a shop, I hope they don't take parts out from other people's cars and sale to you. Yes, I heard about that. Some people visited a shop and realize their news parts were exchanged with old parts.

oh, no, it's a junk yard, but they don't allow you to go about the place, you just tell 'em what you want and they'll get it out of the cars for you

When it comes to important engine sensors, I would pass up the cheapest part and go for OEM parts. I know definitely that Bosch (the KS this place sells) is NOT OEM.

i didn't even think about this place selling non-OEM parts, plus, i didn't realize it was that big of a deal with something like this. guess i should've thought about that.

Ken, i may be contacting you as well. bad thing is my max needs brakes now too. you don't have any good deal on porterfield pads do you?

Well, I know Bosch is a reputable name brand... and you don't know who Nissan gets theirs from... only that they have a nasty habbit of going bad.

Yep, Nissan doesn't actually produce most of those types of things, they contract them out from other producers, such as Bosch.

Good Luck!

Exactly. And the Bosch unit I got for $109 from 'one of those places' had the exact same markings as the OEM one I pulled out.

Bosch is OEM.
FYI-I had a really bad experience with Expressautoparts.com
They billed me for a part they didn't have in stock (o2 sensor) and didn't answer my emails requesting a refund for 2 1/2 weeks. Held my $$$. They gave it back, but I don't think I'll use 'em again.
I don't trust people who don't give phone #'s anymore.
