Hub and Bearing Assembly?

I'm getting a loud noise from the front passenger side tire area. It only happens at high speeds. Mechanic says I need a Hub and Bearing assembly replaced. $250.00. Is this price correct? Also, he says the right side will need to be done soon. Any help is appreciated.

It sounds like you just need to have the bearings replaced. I had to do this with my maxima, luckily my brother-in-law is a mechanic and he helped me do the work and then we took the hub to a shop for them to press out the old bearing and put in the new.
I think someone has done this on one of the forums.

if its the front u can just replace the bearings.
if its the rear u need to replace the whole hub.
But that price is extremely high, i only paid 99 for the hub and bearings. Its also not a hard job to do yourself.
