Sts Q.

How much does a short throw shifter help, if it is set at 50%?

I'd say it reduces the throw considerably, even at 50% setting. You're not gonna feel that you're rowing through the gears anymore. I have mine set at about 75%, and I have to move the shift **** about an inch to get from neutral to any gear.

However, after a while, you get so used to the short throws, that you forget you ever installed the STS and you think the car always shifted like that. I need to go drive me some stock 5 speed maximas so I can remember what the difference is

yeah by .000134 seconds

unless you are a really fast shifter, I don't think it will make that big of a difference
