New nissan struts vs aftermarket?

I just got my car, 2000 maxima SE 17', serviced at the dealer. And they told me that my cars front right hand side strut was shot. They were saying the part would be $240 and then like $110 for labor . I thought that it was a little over priced. SO my question is should i stick with a nissan strut or go for an aftermarket strut like tokico. I'm looking to get the same handling as before if not better and something that will last awhile. I wanna mod out my car but i dont have the funds. So if someone could get back to me it would great. Thanks

My friend you can get a set of 4 Tokico blues or KYB non-adjustables for the 5th gen for around $350....screw that OEM Nissan, high priced, ****! You won't be disappointed nor are either of those struts noticeably harsher than stock. Good luck either way!

Tokicos would be much better than OEM. Also, a tire local dealer could do the job better and cheaper than Nissan
