Are slicks worth it on 16" rims

So I ordered what I was told was a set of 15X7" rims off of eBay. Got them in the mail today, and sure enough they're 16X7".

#1) Can I get slick to fit them and
#2) Is it worth it without the smaller rim?

Just wondering what you guys though before I fought to get my money back.

Wish I had of known you wanted some, I just sold 4 Alloy, 15x7, 38mm offset wheels for $95.

I don't know for sure but I have never seen any 16" slicks made by anyone.

16s...there are drag radials. Like Jime said, I haven't seen slicks for 16s either.

Figures

I can't recally seeing any 16" slicks (at least that would come close to fitting) being made either. Bummer.

Yeah, I have a set of 16's with drag radials. I purchased (only spent $50) to put slicks on.

Yeah. The aution said 15X7, but had no picture of the stampings on the back. I had him look for me (more so for the offset) and he said it was "34 15 X 7J".

Got the wheels today, and its clearly "34 16 X 7J".

I've never heard of a regular drag slick that fits on a 16" wheel, however I checked M&H's website and lo and behold they DO have a 16" cheaterslick (with little groves in its so its technically not a slick).

http://www.intercotire.com/html/muscle_car_drag.htm

Now it says that its a 305/40-16... but then says it fits on a 7" wide rim. On the other hand it says its a 10" wide tire so you might want to contact them and get a little clarification. Personally I would try to get my money back from the fool who sold them to you and if that doesn't work just sell them outright and buy some 15s.

Welcome to the world of internet fraud... It's happened to me like 5 times now

Good news

Turns out the guys sent the wrong pair of wheels (he a used partd eBay dealer), and is sending the correct ones today. He pictured the back of the wheel, and they are 15X7.

So, I wasn't scammed, it was a honest mistake.

Good deal! Slicks, here I come!

Congrats. Is he making you pay the return shipping on the other ones?

Mickey Thompson part number 3792 is a 26 x 10.5 x 16 DOT street slick that should work fine on a 7" wide wheel. I am running 3793, 26 x 11.5 x 16, on my 8" Camaro wheels without a problem.
