V1 Supercharger - backfiring issues

I recently got my V1 finally working, and all I can say is WOW. The thing just keeps pulling and pulling. I've noticed it backfire several times in the past day since getting it back, mainly because I've been stomping on it all over the place.

I did a search and got Kevin saying:

"MAF senses air -> let off gas -> BOV opens -> sensed air exits without MAF knowing -> extra fuel -> POP"

How is that happening, without the MAF knowing, since the MAF is after the BOV. That a 5th gen only thing? He also said that an AFC would fix the problem, which I plan on getting within the next 2 months. I just wanted to double check that the above explanation is roughly why it's happening, and to get outside opinions that my car's not gonna blow up or anything

I was only speaking on V2, for the 5th gen.

Sounds like you're running rich. Pulley size? FMU disc?

3.33" pulley, 6:1 FMU disk. Would the ECU not being adjusted to it be enough to cause this?

I get that on rare occassions. I also get some popping from time to time when I'm in gear and let the revvs sink down. It's completely normal...there is a Z28 at my school with flowmasters and his car pops like mad!

I think Kev got it right, the car wasn't fully warmed up yet and I reved it to 2800 by accident. I guess it was still in open loop mode and decided to run rich & pop. I took it for a 2 hour drive this afternoon and haven't heard anything that sounded abnormal since
