Just curious. I can't decide if I want to get rid of my aftermarket pedals or not. The pedals always seem to add a little more vibration through your feet. They're nice when my shoes are wet because they grip so well, otherwise they're just for looks I guess.

What are your experiences?

I have some alluminum razos. no problems with vibrations or anything. Im auto so I can care less about grip because my feet are not doing much but they do grip really good.

 

I have the aluminum Razo's as well. I like the fact that the gas pedal is twice the stock width. it makes heel-toe downshifting that much easier

 

u gotta show me heal/toe. i'm kinda scared to do it.

i use to have all four aftermarket, but one way or another the clutch and brake found their way into the trash and now i cant find the oe rubber covers. so the brake and clutch are bare and the dead pedal and gas have aftermarket.

 

I'm using the 3A cheapos from pepboys. These are one of the best mods to my Max. Not only are they great when wet (non slip, no squeaks, etc) they close the gap between the brake and gas pedal by an inch or so. I have small feet and it helps me "heel and toe" with more ease. They aren't the lightest pedals but I don't feel any more vibrations than I did prior to installing them.


And they're great because the clutch pedal cover does not restrict the pedal stroke in any way. Some pedal sets I've bought and returned had clutch pedals that would hit the floormat, restricting a complete stroke when I depress the clutch.

Btw I think the carbon fiber-looking inserts look ghey but they function well.

 

i have the type "r" chrome 3pc pedals and love them.

 

Right now I have Nokya red pedals, but I Agree I feel more vibration through them. I want to get the 5th Gen AE pedals but I don't think they fit 4th Gens.

I have a question,

I don't have any aftermarket pedals, so it's really annoying to work the clutch when my shoes are wet. They stick and squeek and its not a smooth engagement at all. If I got aftermarket pedals, would they make the surface smoother so I could slide my foot better? I start out with my toe and gradually slide the pedal out ending towards my heel. I guess you could say I like to toe-to-heel shift? In other words I like to shift the clutch by only rotating my ankle, instead of my entire foot.

i have them on my 4th gen...? they fit, you just need to fiddle with the gas pedal because the arm that goes into the back of it is smaller than the holder on the pedal. so basically you just need to wedge something in there or figure out your own way to make it fit. i'm suprised i'd have to say something like this to you, but search and you'll find a few threads on it.

i just got the dead pedal in the mail too. all matches up and looks great.

 

You don't, that's why I didn't ask. But thanks for the info, and if you don't mind my asking how much did it all run you (gas/brake/dead)?

i don't mind at all...i think i payed something like 16 shipped for the brake pedal from ken at jrnissan in springfield, ma...and i got the gas and brake from tustin nissan for under 30 i think...it was a few months back so i forget the exact price, but it was really cheap. and they look great too so it's definately worth it imo. goodluck man and if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

I have Nokya 3 piece polished aluminum pedals from SouthWest AutoWorks. They fit perfect and look great in my opinion. They match my real aluminum dash almost exact, they also have the dead pedal. I have pics on my homepage.
They were cheap too...
