Pilot A/S's Narrower??

Personally, I like the Sumi HTR+ for the money.....now if they'd only come in the standard size.....the money saved in cheaper tires could darn near offset the cost of new rims!!!

Has anyone found definitive info. regarding the NARROWER width of the Pilot A/S's ?????

Spending $200 per tire is one thing, but getting a narrower tire for that kinda $$$ just ain't cool for me.

Input welcome.....

Well you got me on that one, g.r. Most people purchasing Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires are opting to upsize to 235/505R17. Are you suggesting that a Michelin Pilot Sport A/S in 235/50R17 is narrower than a 225/50R17 from any other manufacturer?

How much narrower could it possibly be? It is hands down the best OE size tire available for our cars. I know the price is a little high, but this tire is worth it. I believe that this size will become more popular, and within then next year or so we should have more choices.

Remember, you all need to know which 'narrow' you are referring to...

narrow section width

OR

narrow tread

There can be a notable difference across manufacturers in either of these.

I know this - they are wider than the stock potenzas. Both tread and section width.

If I recall correctly there were two versions of the potenzas - with the ones stock on our cars a bit narrower. Mine looked like 205s.

These are amazing tires.
