Hey now Camrys are not at all slow... We who have driven and raced them know this to be true...

Oh and the Galant they are slow to even attempt to race a stock Maxima it would need some serious mods...

Yeah, the Galant is sorta slow -- I have a 99 GTZ. Nice car, but after 20,000 miles it rattles alot which drives me crazy (more than the max). It's a smooth feeling car, great for highway traveling. Needs a 5 speed...

VR4

Is it a blown V6, or a turbo 4? What year(s) were they made?

Turbo v4. Made early 90's late 80's IIRC. Can be made to go very vast for a 4 banger.

Lancer

I went to an Autocross with my friend's dad once. I brought my camera and planned on taking a few pics of him racing his 97 Talon TSi auto (I know...couldn't find a stick...the thing is pretty damn sluggish off the line, better on the highway). Anyway a friggen Lancer EVO V showed up and knocked me on my ***. As it pulled up, I was staring at the front airdam. Couldn't figure out what it was, though I thought Subaru from the huge foglights. Then as it passed I thought Eclipse. Then I saw the badge. I had no idea it was a right hand drive Lancer. Fortunately, I got pics.

I've raced one on the highway.. It was a joke! New GTZ. Pulls next to me on the highway.. matches speed with me.. looks over and I hear him floor it.. =)HAHAHH!! I shift into 3rd and floor it and just blow by him.. I started about a car behind.. I passed him before 100.. No sweat.. hehe..

The Galant VR-4 was produced in 1991(2000 units) and 1992(1000 units). Had a 2.0L turbocharged DOHC I-4 that produced 195 HP and 203 Ft-Lb of torque (the same exact engine as the eclipse that year). It had a few trick parts like 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel steering. Most were modded heavily and raced, so the market for them now in their later years has softened. They were about as quick as the Max is now.
