Ok.... A local Dodge dealer has a 1998 Max SE... he's had it since early fall/late summer of 2000 cuz I test drove it in September. They were asking 17,900 then, I think they probably still are asking that (they weren't open tonite)
I went and looked at it again, they moved it from the back lot to the front and the idiots left it unlocked with the keys in it while they were closed. Guess the price was $0
Well, anyhow...
1998 Maxima SE
Pebble Beige with Charcoal Cloth
Sunroof, CD/Cassette (Not BOSE although the stock system actually sounds pretty decent -- clear and pretty good bass, I can always add a bazooka tube or an Infinity BassLink)
Anyhow
also no auto temp control
21k miles, GLE wheels, Spoiler, Sunroof, Security Package,
What's the best price you think I should pay?? I kinda don't want to get it because I can get a 97 GLE for probly the same price, (and thats white with blk. leather) but its got 53k miles.
thanks

I just got my 98 SE max for about $16,700. It has every option; leather, bose, sunrf, and only had about 27k miles on it. The initial asking price was $18,995. So you could probably bargin with the dealer on the price abit.

my 98 se...

I got my 98 se for 16,000 with 20,000 miles on it. has every thing BOSE sound system, heated seats, side airbags , leather, sunroof, automatic climate control. Traded a 94 altima for $4k and paid 12K. It was a good deal because I knew the dealer, that helps. But in my opinion, don't get the gle if it has 53k miles on it if you can get a se for the same price. How come the se come with gle wheels. the 16 inch se wheels look much better. tell me what you think!!! then again you could have gotta it for free, right.

Yea that is alittle high.. But I sold cars for awhile and when the price is posted at $17,000 .. you always have about 2 or 3 thousand to play with.. meaning that you can probably get it to maybe $15,000..
The people that get great deals on car's are the ones that are ball breakers..

Sounds about 1200- 1500 too high. I'd say mid to upper 16s is where it should be since it has no leather, bose, climate control, yadda, yadda.
