suspension question

I tried searching on this, but I couldn't find a definitive answer.

I just ordered my Addco RSB and BOMBZ FSTB...I really want to help out the suspension on my 2k2 GLE.

My question is, some of the city potholes in boston are downright jarring now. I only have 9K on my car...I don't think that my car used to be like this either. Would it be bad struts or springs that would possibly be causing this?

What would people recommend I do? If I replace the springs as well as the shocks, exactly HOW bad will city driving be?

Thanx.

FSTB and RSB will not affect ride quality at all, but they will definitely improve handling. As for new springs and dampers, it will depend on what kind you get. Lowering springs will generally make the ride a bit rougher, but it all depends on the type of springs you get. Eibachs are stiffer and will give you a rougher ride than say maxspeeds or H&R. If your ride is bouncy at all, then you may need new struts/shocks...

Hows the tread on your tires holding up? As the tires wear down... they "absorb" less bumps in the road since there's less rubber. I know. I've driven on nearly completely worn out tires before and the ride was ROUGH!! Haha.
