Decent dealer experience! Thanks Soundmike!
Decent dealer experience! Thanks Soundmike!
Took my AE in yesterday for the dreaded rotor problem and even worse a drivers seat that has inch long cracks in the leather.
Spoke to a pretty cool guy, Bennie, at Mossy Nissan here in Houston. Short end of the story...rotors addressed (turned not replaced, but I can live with that for now...the warp was not as advanced as many others have reported here), and a new front seat cover ordered. Didn't have to fight for anything, deal with accusations of abuse on the seat, etc. Picked it up this morning (my schedule did not permit me to get back there last night) and am just waiting for the call that the cover is in.
Thank you Soundmike for the referral and a dealer experience that did not require 'suiting up for battle'.

It's good to hear some pleasant dealer experiences. I dropped my 2k2 off at the dealer this morning about my rotors, so far this dealer has been really really helpful with piddly stuff. We'll see how they handle some serious stuff. . .
I'm soon to go in for the brakes on my 2k3 (only 2k miles!)
I will demand new rotors
. Cutting to me is not an option, you can only cut rotors like 2-3 times before you go below spec so I'm not allowing them to take 20,000 miles off my rotors when I've only got 2,000!
We'll see how it works out.
