Car is Veering

Ok, I'm getting a little frustrated w/ my '94 Maxima GXE. I just had the bushings, steering rack and pin and front tires replaced and aligned about a month ago. Now, when I'm driving, my car veers briefly from left to right. It feels like it happens when my car is dropping into the overdrive gear. It's like: when it shifts, i feel my car go left and then back. it's not like it's jumping off the road, but the subtle motion is unsettling. I brought it to my mechanic and he said not to worry about it but I don't totally trust him. It happens when I'm going between 30 and 45 Mph. But to be honest, I haven't really gotten it much faster lately. Any ideas? Thanks.

i'm having the same problem though I have a 5speed and it was diagnosed as the lower control arm bushing.

i had a lot of problems with my car wandering over bumps and ruts and anything else in the road. replaced my lower control arm bushings, and the problem has almost completely dissappeared.

Ever notice how often the word Almost Fixed and Maxima are used in the same sentence.
