going racing...need advice

I'll be going to a 1/4 mile track on the 12th of Dec. and have never done this before. I here that it should be easy to catch on after the first run jitters. I have no idea of how to get the best times out of my automatic. Any advice would be appriciated.
P.S. If anybody in the Tampa bay area would like to go or can give me some help as to how to drive the track in bradenton then pm me.

Powerbrake to about 1600 rpm and go as soon as you see the third yellow.

Yep, there are a couple of us who go down there frequently.

In fact, I might be up for a trip on the 12th.

I presume you are talking about bradenton?

You might want to post something on the southeast forum. Someone else recently PM'd me about it too.

Yes, I am talking of bradenton. A couple of buddies and I are going to roll out in the afternoon and we would like for anybody that's up for it to go with us. Especially some people that have been before could help us with set up and what not.
