whats a good brand for Aftermarket Rear Speakers

My stock rear speakers sound like they are about to blow

Whats a good aftermarket speaker for the max that you guys have heard good things about

correct me please if I'm wrong but is the size for the stock speakers all around 6.75 or oversize 6.5

I would like a speaker with highs and some mids
Its gonna be wired to a Pioneer face Mosphet 45wx4

any recommendations would be helpful

also do any of you know of a cheap place/site to buy speakers from

I am running the Ample Audio components in the rear the same as the front doors but they (the company) also sell just the two way...they sound extremely clear and can definetly handle the power I put to them.

Check out their site at www.AmpleAudio.com

they have retailers all over the country...

What kind of speakers do you have in the front?
If they are stock, maybe consider putting your new ones up front and moving your current front ones to the rear.
If they are aftermarket maybe consider the same brand.

If you are looking for good coax speakers there are many to choose from. Focal, Diamond, Boston, CDT, Crystal, JL, Rainbow all make high quality coax's in the $100-$150 range. Many of those are true 6.5" which means you would need to make/buy an adapter. Some of best coax's I have heard being powered by a deck are the Boston RX-67's. They are very efficient and IMO don't need as much power to sound good.

Some sites you might try:
www.ampman.com
www.thezeb.com
www.sounddomain.com
www.mmxpress.com
www.ebay.com

so the real size for the speakers all around are 6.75 but a 6.5 will fit with an adapter

i currently have stock speakers in the front but they sound real good, thats a good idea thanks to switch the front speakers to the back and the new speakers to the front, if they all are the same size

thanks for quick replys

br

any other opinions

if you are going to push them with your headunit, dont get components. just get some nice 2 ways or 3 ways. i have 2 way pioneer premiers and they sound great off of my deh 7400. premier makes great speakers. i also have like kicker, infinity, polk, and alpine speakers.

I had Boston Acoustic FX-6's in the rear and they sounded great. They ran about $100 for the pair. Of course, I ran them with an amp, too....so that made a difference. I would go with the idea of moving your fronts to the rear, and getting new ones for the front. You want most of your clean sound in the front two any way.

I have the Focal Polyglass. IF you want some rear fill it sounds much better if you mount the tweeter like this.
