AMP Question

AMP Question

Alright somebody explain this to me, My Headunit puts 50x4 to the speakers, now if I buy an AMP that puts out 50x4 to the speakers is there gonna be any change at all? This might be a real stupid question but any info is cool.

Simply put, your head unit is for of shhhhhhhhhhhhh. So yes.

Consider this

the amp in your HU is like 1/2" x 1/2" square. not that big. but if you have a 4 channel amp it is usually atleast 10" x 10" square. you tell me if there is goin to be a difference in sound. I have always bought HU w/o internal amps b/c it gives a much cleaner signal and hardly ever gets hot. HU w/o amp inside dissipates less heat. My 2 cents.
