15.4 1/4?

My best time is a 15.4 and I only have and CAI Injen intake and a custom Exhaust and I am running this. Now I look at the other MAXs and I see that there times are slower than mine. Now I was wondering if this time is right for what I have done to the car. I had no sub in the back just an amp and had my stoke GXE rims on the front with 50 series tires, they were not slicks or radials either. I mean I am real puzzled about this because I have an auto. I see the same years and trans getting slower times but they have all these mods: Y-pipe, UDP, Shift kits, and the works. I don't know what it is? Can someone mabe enlighten me?

Thats a great time. It equals my best running N/A and I did have the UDP, slicks etc. I don't think slicks help much when you are running 15's though. I started out running 16.2 stock so I thought 15.4 was pretty good till I started running spray. Now I can go from 15.4-15.7 to 13.1 just by hitting the spray. You need slicks when you run low 13's, I can burn rubber on the street at 50 MPH on street tires when I hit the spray. Of course I would never do that because its illegal but if I did thats what it does.

I ran a 15.4 with 1/8 fuel, bad tires, frankencar intake and bad shifting points on my 5 speed.

Did you launch your car at all? Or just hit it at the line?

Wegaman, your time looks kind of weird for a 2k2
your launch wasn't too bad, though the high end is lacking.
you trap speed is very low as well.

SonicDust, i had basically the same setup as you when i went to the track (just a jwt filter), and crappy goodyear rsa's.

i had a messed up launch of 2.4, and i got a 15.08@93mph
i still need to improve my launch...i got a ypipe, so im aiming for 14.7 now with a better launch.

It depends a lot on track conditions and 60' time.

I ran 15.2 with just open cone intake and 15.1 with a Y-pipe and an intake.
