looks like engine noise to me since the nosie seems to be coming from the speakers and not under the hood. some possible culprits I guess are the RCA patches or bad grounds. I'm not ruling out alternator, but according to my Crutchfield manual, I'm thinking its my patch cables.....any suggestions????

altenator noise and engine noise are pretty much the same thing...i'd start with the grounds and then move on to getting better quality cabling...
