What's the best detail spray?

I have a black 2K2. I tried Meguiars Quick Detail Spray, but it didn't seem to wipe off clean..left a smeary residue sort of (unless I wiped really hard). Then I tried Eagle One Wet Wipe and Shine. Wiped off very well, but attracted a TON of dust. I use Klasse AIO and Sealant Glaze for my polish/wax, and am looking for something good for in-between washes.

What would you guys/gals recomend??

Did a search, but wasn't able to find specific info.

yeah

THe thing about Meguiars is that the car has to be waxed really good for it to work.

A guy in my gym has this company called Garage Fanatic. He makes his own line of car care products, his detail spray is amazing. Even spraying it on your wet car right after you wash it produces that just waxed feel. Used alone it works amazing. Repels water on my windshield like Rain-X and lasts longer too.

Over the counter I'd stick with Mothers. Their products really work great on my car.

Hey Mr. Autopian Moderator

I agree with Vyrus and Prinz that Mothers is an excellent choice. I've only had good results with that stuff.

Also, The Eimann Fabrik one is called Pearl Instant Detailer or something along those lines.

I would also recommend Pinnacle Cyrstal Mist just because of the Coconut smell

i use this stuff called Final Shine from this little place in my town that makes their own car care products. It is probably comparable to what njmaxseltd mentioned he gets from his local shop. Stuff works awesome and looks and feels just like the car was freshly waxed.

I actually never had any problems with using meguires QD but I guess its because beige doesnt show residue streaks as much as darker colors.

Looks like Mother's Showtime is a fav with a lot of you. I think I'll give it a try.

I also found a product called 'Sonus'. Supposed to work well with Klasse products, which I use, but not recommended for carnuba wax finishes. It's $15 a bottle, though!! Has anyone tried this product?

Mothers....no contest. I used to be a meguiars fan, and pretty much only bought their products, ...but then I bought a mothers claybar, and it came with mothers showtime detailer...tried it on a couple of spots and was extremely happy with the results. Been using it for 2 good years now. Is very simple to use, no rocket science, works on almost all applications. Great Product.
