I went to http://www.nissan-auto-parts-dealer.com/ to shop for strut mounts (they have them @ $27/each) but list different part numbers for the GXE and SE.

I have a GXE, but have SE struts (or I might purchase KYB AGX) and am confused as to what the difference might be.

Anyone know?

If you find the answer, please let me know. I;mabout to tackle this job too next month and the prices you posted for the strut mounts seem very good.

 

I called and ordered the SE versions. The bearings are seperate, and cost $24. I also ordered some oil filters for $4.48 each. (the site has them incorrectly priced at around $20!)

The guy I ordered them from thought the SE versions might just use a little stiffer rubber or something. He thought they would be interchangable.

I still don't know for sure what any difference would be, but they do have different actual part numbers. He did verify that.
